Why Time Matters

Some Things Get Worse by the Minute

Dental emergencies are time-sensitive in ways patients usually don't realize until they're in one.

  • A knocked-out tooth has the highest chance of being saved if you reach our office within 60 minutes of the injury.
  • A severe infection can spread from the tooth into the jaw and bloodstream within a day or two if untreated.
  • A cracked tooth with an exposed nerve gets dramatically more painful within hours, and a tooth that could have been saved with a crown can become an extraction quickly.
  • A lost filling or crown leaves the tooth underneath unprotected, and decay restarts immediately.
  • If something just happened, the next call matters more than the next decision. Call us and we'll handle the rest with you.

What Happens When You Call

A Real Person, Real Triage, and a Same-Day Slot

You're not on hold. You're not waiting two days for a callback. The phone is the fastest way through this.

  1. Tell Us What Happened

We listen first, in the same calm tone you'd want on the other end. You explain what happened in your own words.

  2. First-Aid Guidance

We give you over-the-phone first-aid guidance specific to your situation, so the next few minutes count toward saving the tooth or reducing the damage.

  3. Same-Day Slot

We open up a same-day appointment slot. You drive over, we numb the area, and we fix what we can in one visit. Anything that needs follow-up is scheduled before you leave.

What to Do Right Now

Use these steps while you're heading to our office. Then call us — the sooner we know what happened, the more options we have.

Knocked-Out Tooth

Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root. Rinse it gently with milk or water — do not scrub. If you can, put it back in the socket. If not, store it in milk or saline and bring it with you. Call us. The 60-minute window matters.

Broken or Chipped Tooth

Save any pieces you can find. Rinse your mouth with warm water. Use a cold compress on the cheek to manage swelling. Call us so we can see you the same day before the exposed surface gets worse.

Severe Toothache

Rinse with warm water. Floss gently to remove anything stuck between teeth. Use a cold compress on the cheek. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever if you usually tolerate it. Call us and tell us how long it's been hurting.

Lost Filling or Crown

Save the crown if you have it. Avoid chewing on that side. Use clove oil or temporary dental cement from a pharmacy if you can't be seen for a few hours. Call us and we'll get you in.

Investment & Insurance

Most Emergency Care Is Covered. We Handle the Paperwork.

Cost shouldn't be the reason you wait through a dental emergency.

We accept all major PPO insurances, including Delta, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, MetLife, Guardian, Ameritas, Principal, and BlueCross BlueShield, and our team files your claim for you. Most emergency procedures, including same-day extractions, fillings, root canals, and crown placements, are commonly covered.

For anything not covered, CareCredit financing and flexible monthly payment plans break the cost into manageable amounts. Before any procedure begins, we walk you through exactly what's involved and what it will cost. No surprise bills.
